Maat Center Brings Suit against the Republic President and Minister of Interior about Depriving the Detainees of Their Political Right to Participate in the Referendum on the Constitutional Amendment.

Maat center for Judicial and Constitutional Studies brings suit before the administrative court in the name of the detainee Mohammed El Saied El Shamaa against the republic president, minister of interior and the jails' chairman, calling for:

 Firstly: delete rapidly the administration negative report which contains its refusing to issue a report to execute what is in the law and constitutional provisions about enabling the detainee Mohammed El Saied El Shamaa to exercise his political right and to participate by voting in general elections .Also the suit call for obliging the minister of interior to allow the applicant to participate in the coming Shora council elections from inside the jail.

Secondly: oblige the defendants as a way of solidarity to pay suitable compensation to the applicant because of what harms him according to their refuse to issue a report to execute what is in law and constitutional provisions about enabling the applicant to exercise his political right which lead to depriving him from his right to vote and participate in the referendum on the constitutional amendments in 26\03\2006, and oblige the defendants to pay expenses and wage of the lawyer. 

The suit recorded in number 20824 of judicial year 61.
